10 common fundamental questions of physics.

If physics is your favourite subject, then you must know the answer to these questions (PART-2)

1.   Why does the current flow opposite of the electrons?

It is just a way of thinking as the current flow was considered as a flow of positive charges from + to – while the e’s are negatively charged and hence the moves from -ve terminal to the positive terminal of say battery.

2.   What is the Nth Shell formula?

 2n2

3.   Why is crystallization better than evaporation?

As in evaporation, many solids get burnout due to drying heating while in crystallization, we get pure solid.

4.   What is electromagnetism?

It is a branch of physics in deals with the interaction between magnetic and electric forces.

 5.   Why do metal ships float in water and iron nail sinks?

Due to the density of the ship being less as compared to nails.

6.   Can the displacement-time graph be a straight line parallel to the x-axis?

Yes, when velocity is zero when the object doesn’t get displaced on changing of time.

7.   At our home which kind of connection is there?

Parallel connection

8.   What is a miniature circuit breaker (MCB)?

It is an automatic switch that gets open when there is an overload or short circuit of current, for safety purposes.

9.   What is short circuit and overloading?

A short circuit is when there is a fault between the line and earth, while overloading occurs when the equipment undergoes excess current.

10.   Where can we find maximum and minimum gravity on earth?

The value of ‘g’ is minimum at the equator because the earth is not a perfect sphere. Its radius is maximum at the equator. Hence, according to the equation g = GM/R2, the equator is the place where g will be minimum. and maximum on the poles
